Area of research:

Dr. Camila Figueiredo is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Di Polo’s lab, supported by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS). She obtained her Ph.D. and M.S. in Neuroscience from the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Over the past years, her research has contributed to understanding how cytokines influence retinal cells, providing insights into mechanisms of neuroprotection. Currently, her work explores the vascular dysfunction in glaucoma, aiming to identify underlying mechanisms and develop novel therapeutic strategies.
